In Tropico you manage your own country. You have different relations with different groups within the country (nationalists, followers of religion, etc). You also have to manage relations with other countries.

Each building is built separately, instead of in zones. You manage trade, finance, etc. SimCity 5 is a Multiplayer focused city building game. The MP is still broken, and the AI is also still broken. The game gets boring after a few hours of gameplay.
